Build the Perfect Custom Frame

Sometimes your art doesn't fit a standard size — and that's exactly what our Custom Shop is for. Whether you need a precise odd size or just want full control over every detail, we've made the process simple, fast, and fully yours.

Custom Frame Basics

Any size, no extra wait.
Our entire selection of wood and metal frames can be ordered in custom sizes in ¼" increments up to 36" — with no additional production time compared to our ready-made sizes.

What's included with every custom frame:
Every custom frame arrives fully assembled with glazing (glass or styrene), backing, and hanging hardware — ready to hang right out of the box.

A couple of things to note:

  • Custom frames do not include easel backs or mats.
  • Need a mat with your custom frame? Head to our Custom Shop to add a custom mat to your order.

Looking for a ready-made size instead? Each of our frames comes in standard sizes as well as custom.

How to Build Your Custom Frame

Create something uniquely yours in just a few steps:

Step 1: Choose Your Image
Start by selecting your image size. You can upload your own photo or artwork to be printed. Not sure what size to choose? We recommend measuring your wall space before getting started.

Step 2: Choose Your Frame
Browse our frame selection and pick the style, color, and finish that fits your space. Looking to purchase a mat only? Select -Remove Frame to skip the frame and move onto mat options.

Step 3: Choose Your Mat
A mat adds dimension and draws the eye to your art. You can go with no mat, or select a single, double, or triple mat for a layered, gallery-style look. Choose from over 100 mat colors and textures to find your perfect pairing.

Step 4: Choose Your Glazing
Glazing is the clear protective cover that sits over your art. We offer three options:

  • Styrene — lightweight and budget-friendly
  • Acrylic — durable and shatter-resistant, great for larger sizes
  • Glass — premium clarity, available in select sizes

Step 5: Choose Your Backing
The backing sits behind your art and keeps everything secure. Standard cardboard works great for most projects — or upgrade to white or black foam core for a cleaner, more polished finish.

Step 6: Choose Your Hanging Hardware
Select the hardware that works best for your wall and frame size. Your frame arrives ready to hang with screw in sawtooth hangers, this step is optional if you have a different preference.

Step 7: Place Your Order & Enjoy
Review your selections, add to cart, and get ready to love your walls. Every custom frame is handcrafted and shipped directly to your door.
